The MET!

The MET

I’ve heard wonderful things of the famous MET in NYC. I had never been to it until I moved to NYC. It really is all that people say it is! It’s HUGE and beautiful.

I was really excited to have the MET crossed off my bucket list for things to do in NYC. There was an outfit I was saving for this day! Well, more so the jacket. Going to the MET I wanted to look really cute and trendy. I wore my super cute trendy green fringe jacket. I love love love this jacket! I love how the fringe is all around even on the sleeves. The sleeves are probably my fave!

I wore my ripped boyfriend jeans with a plain white top. To add color and spice to to it my fringe jacket went really well with it! It made it really chic and trendy.

For my shoes, I love velvet shoes! I found some on sale at Zara for only $30! So to add some more color I wore my blue velvet shoes that had only a couple of inch of heels on it. To accessorize I just added a simple gold and brown feather necklace that I love!

It’s all about the fringe baby!

Valentine's Day! 😍

I've been quiet for a minute. That's because I moved to New York City! I figured a fashionista needs to be in the big apple so I took the jump! So let's talk about Valentine's Day!

I have to admit Valentine's Day is one of my favorite holidays! Whether you are in a relationship or not it's just an excuse to look pretty and do something with your significant other or friends. Or even by yourself!

And this year every holiday is going to be special to me because it's going to be my first holiday in my dream city! So I was definitely extra excited!

I know the traditional colors to wear on Valentine's Day are the Reds and the pinks. But of course, I like to switch it up and not do the normal things. I found this white crop top and midi skirt set I've had for a while. One, I love all white. And midi skirts are my fave! And it was not too dressy or too casual. So I knew it was the one!

Because I'm a VIB Rouge at Sephora, I like to use any little excuse to get my makeup done. So of course, Valentine's Day, I just had to get my makeup did! The guy that did my makeup did a phenomenal job! It wasn't quite what I wanted, but he recommended doing something else since my eyes are small and I'm so glad I let him. I LOVED my makeup!

With my white outfit, I wore a gold chain necklace. And some gold rings, along with midi rings. Midi rings are still my fave! And my gold clutch.

To complete my outfit I wore my black booties. They are cut out suede heels that basically go with anything.

Can't wait for my next holiday!

A Fresh Cut

Sometimes being a girl is just so hard! But, I love every bit of it! I try to get a haircut three months to keep my hair healthy. When I first moved to Chicago, I went through a several hair dressers before I found "the one!" I actually happened to get a coupon from coupon book I get every other month. So I thought to try him out for a cut and color. And oh-em-gee! He was more than just amazing! He listened to everything I said, gave his suggestions. And I listened to his suggestions and I'm so glad I did. Because the first time I went to him I was a little nervous but after he was done I was so happy!

Anywho, since I discovered him I've been going to him. I also try to schedule my haircuts closer to the weekends. Well, because the blowouts he gives me are AH-mazing!! So of course, when I know I'm going to be getting a fresh cut with an amazing blow out, it's only fair that I wear a cute outfit. Right?!

Picking out outfits to wear and how I'm going to do my make is my favorite part of the day! Yes, like anything else it can be stressful. But it's a good stress not a bad one! I'll take it! So I got this full sleeve long garnet top from my favorite store Akira. This top believe it or not was only $10! Talk about a steal! I love love love this top! One, it's very slim fitting. I love the color, especially because it's my school's color. Go Gamecocks! And because of how long it is, you can wear it with leggings, jeans, pants, and shorts. You can try several different things. I decided to wear jeans with it. I thought jeans would look really cute and I was right. And this shirt is super comfy.

With the top being a little plain and yet trendy, I wanted to dress it up with jewelry. I'm wearing a silver and gold long layered charm necklace. I love this necklace because it's not too fancy and not too casual. And it's silver and gold so it's versatile.

With the necklace I paired a big floral bracelet with some smaller bracelets. I love pairing different bangles together. It makes the outfit so much fun! And of course, to add to it I wore my midi rings and regular rings.

When it came to picking out shoes with the outfit. I was feeling heels. I had these pair of black heels New Look. When I saw it in my closet, I didn't know how it would look with the outfit. But as soon as I tried it on, it was a match! Surprisingly, the shoes are pretty comfortable too being that the heel is kind of high.

The hair, the makeup and the outfit! Ahh, just loved this look!
